Tuna Brazilian Moqueca.
4 (6 ounce) albacore tuna steaks, 1 inch thick. (Or 3 tuna cans (solid white tuna or albacore))
3 large tomatoes (or 4 medium tomatoes).
1 large onion (or 2 medium onions).
140 g of Bazzar Brazilian moqueca sauce
5 tablespoons of Cate de Mi Corazon avocado oil – hot & Spicy.
salt and pepper to taste.
1 lime, juiced (or see instructions for tuna cans).
Serves: 3-4 people
Directions – Sauce
Dice/chop the tomatoes and the onions.
Combine the tomatoes, onions, Bazzar Brazilian moqueca sauce and the avocado oil in a pan and cook them for approx. 6 minutes above more than a medium flame.
Directions – Tuna Steaks
Lightly oil grill grate. Season tuna with salt and pepper, and cook on the preheated grill approximately 6 minutes, turning once. Transfer to a serving platter, and drizzle with freshly squeezed lime juice. Serve immediately.
Directions – (if using Tuna Cans)
Since tuna is precooked, just add it to the pot once the sauce is ready and boiling and cook it for 2 minutes so the tuna will actually absorb some of the sauce.
Squeeze lime on the tuna after food is served on the dish.
